It's 11 PM, a bit earlier than usual. There was an important event today, so I'll tell you about it.
Today was a rest day from the gym, but (laughs) I was still squatting throughout the day. I try to keep my NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) high, because on rest days, if I don't go anywhere, I'll just sit at my computer desk all day. I try to add activity to burn a bit more.
This morning, the power went out. They were doing something with the power lines, and it took a long time. So I went to Central to find something to eat. I tried a new coffee-flavored drink at BearHouse with my brother, and it was so delicious.
After that, we ate there since there was nothing at home. As usual, I had special boiled chicken rice, no skin, just chicken. (laughs) I asked if they had plain rice instead of oily rice, but they didn't, so that was fine. I didn't eat much.
In the afternoon, I had a client meeting to look at some land. It seemed to go well, but it also felt like it wasn't quite a match. We'll see how it goes.
I got back around 3 PM and just stayed in my room, looking at this and that until 6 PM. My brother spent that time cleaning his house, which is almost finished. All the construction is done; it just needs cleaning, and tomorrow they're laying the wooden floor. It should look much better.
When my brother finished, we realized there was no food at home, so we went to our usual Pad krapow place. It's so, so good. We also ordered a separate dish of Mama pad krapow, which was incredibly delicious and very filling.
After coming home, I sat around, doing this and that, and chatted with my foreign friends on the Hello Talk app, as usual. I barely reviewed any Japanese today, only just now.
After chatting with friends, the topic of Instagram came up again. Many friends have asked if I use IG, and usually I'd say I don't or that I deleted it. But after being asked three times, I started thinking. Part of me wanted to reactivate my account because it was set for permanent deletion on the 26th, but I could still reactivate it before then. So, to cut to the chase, I reactivated my account.
My reasoning is that Instagram is like a business card these days. I had thought about deleting my old account and creating a new one, posting event-driven content instead of just moments. But then there wouldn't be any photos of myself that established my identity from before. It would be harder to use it as a business card, and it would look even more like a ghost account than it already does. (laughs) People already tease me about my main account being a ghost account.
But before I deleted it, I had already cleared out almost all my followers, leaving only less than ten very close friends. So, it's like a fresh start. I probably won't post much, and I won't turn on notifications. I'm determined not to get addicted. So that's the important event I wanted to share: I reactivated my main IG account, but I'm changing my mindset and how I use it.
I'm getting bored now (laughs), so I'm probably close to sleeping for the night. I just made a new friend the day before yesterday, a Vietnamese friend.
Oh, and I've kept my streak going for 70 consecutive days now, which is great. I hope to keep it up for a year, two, or three years. (laughs) I want to see the database growth. I'll have to think about what to do tomorrow, maybe adjust some things.
That's about it for today. Goodnight.
