Yo, here I am before midnight again. (laughs) I never forget. I guess I can keep this brief, as I barely had any activity today, really. This morning I just ate a banana, then went to the gym around noon.
I went really late today, around 11 AM. I didn't think about it being Tuesday, but when I got to Central Plaza near noon, the parking lot was packed. I almost couldn't find a spot. Then I realized why — there was a ‘Khrua Khun Toi’ food fair happening, with tons of food stalls. Luckily, someone was leaving right as I pulled in, so I got a spot.
I went for a run, but my legs aren't fully recovered yet; they still feel tired and a bit dormant. I was going to cycle, but I decided to run instead, and it was exhausting. I was so out of breath, my heart rate was through the roof. It felt like I was going to die. So I just jogged lightly for about forty minutes, then walked for five. Still, it's good to burn some calories. (laughs)
Since I got back, I haven't really done much, just stayed in my room doing random things. I watched some anime today. I just started a new anime yesterday that I'd been saving. It's a new one from this season, and I just added it to my shelf. It's great! I'm definitely a rom-com person. (laughs) I'm hooked, but it's not finished airing yet, so I'm left hanging.
I'm still practicing Japanese. Today I added more words, more verbs. It's wild when you try to learn words from anime. You try to jot down a word you hear, and then you realize how many different endings it can have depending on the context: -ne, -yo, sore, kore. (laughs) Kore and sore are demonstratives, and anime uses them so much, it's almost excessive. (laughs)
Sometimes, if I watch a certain type of show, I can follow along a bit. But when I try to watch anime to pick up slang, like from Grand Blue, to use with friends, I can't understand anything. They speak so fast, it's insane! They're cursing so quickly. (laughs)
I've also been using this app on my phone called HelloTalk. It's a language exchange app, and you meet a lot of people there. I used to use Tandem, another app, but I just started with HelloTalk, and it seems more popular, with more people on it. I've talked to some Japanese people, but I can't really understand them because my vocabulary isn't big enough yet. I can only use simple words and ask them to correct me.
I've made some new friends, especially a lot from Indonesia. (laughs) Also some from the Philippines. One of my Indonesian friends is a doctor, the same age as me. (laughs) He's studying medicine, it's intense. I asked him about hands and stuff, and he explained it all in great detail. He's awesome; his name is Yardan.
So, by evening, I hadn't gone anywhere since I got back. Just doing this and that, drifting around. (sighs) I'm feeling a bit bored with joy lately. It's almost midnight, so I'll just go to sleep. Nothing else to do, or rather, I don't want to do anything else. Time for bed. See ya!
