I'm back home now, and my hair is dry. (laughs) I'm sitting here listening to music and drying my hair. Today was a lot of fun, a day where I got to see friends.
This morning, I mostly stayed home. My legs were incredibly sore from the bodyweight workout I did yesterday. I really think if you want to break down muscle fibers and push them to their limit, bodyweight or calisthenics is the way to go. My thighs were so sore today, so I didn't do any heavy training.
But I didn't want to stop completely, so I decided to go for a walk. I'd planned to go in the afternoon, around three or four, but then it started raining heavily. I just lay around for a while until the rain eased up.
I drove to Central, a bit worried about finding parking because it's Sunday and half the province seems to be there. Luckily, when I arrived, a car was pulling out, and I got a spot right away. (laughs) I parked perfectly.
I walked around Central first, then went up to the gym and spent fifty minutes on the treadmill, keeping my heart rate in zone two, under 130. On the way down, I walked around Central again, from the back to the front, then circled back to Tops to buy some drinks: Pepsi Zero and Sprite Zero, just to satisfy my sweet cravings.
On the way back, I had plans to meet Sky, who's going to India next week for some errands. We didn't know what we'd do, just that we'd meet up. When I got home, Sky was already there waiting.
It was around 6 PM, and I was incredibly hungry. I hadn't eaten since 9 AM. So I called Pon and told him to get ready. He was playing a game, but I told him to drop everything. I picked up Pol and P'Poom, and we decided between mala and shabu. Since Sky was leaving soon, we went for shabu, knowing he'd miss it.
There wasn't much of a wait, we were third in line. We sat down quickly as people were checking out. (laughs) Dinner was chaotic and hilarious. This month's special menu was taro rice balls with taro, and they were delicious. Everyone ordered multiple bowls, but I was secretly just picking at them because I'm trying to diet.
At one point, Pon and I were messing around. There was one taro rice ball left on the table. Everyone else was full, but Sky and P'Poom had just ordered six more plates of pork that hadn't arrived yet. I picked up the taro rice ball and, without thinking, (laughs) I dipped it into the shabu pot where they were still cooking their food. I just thought, "Hey, I can wash this!" (laughs)
Sky was completely shocked. He was like, "What the f** are you doing?!" (laughs) Everyone was cracking up. Sky said it was like watching it in slow motion as I slowly lowered it into the pot to "wash" it. (laughs)
In the end, Sky wouldn't eat anymore. (laughs) He canceled the six plates of pork. He was already full, but that just sealed it. (laughs)
After dinner, we briefly stopped at a public park, then came back to my place to play board games. There were five of us: me, my brother, P'Poom, Sky, and Pon. We played "I'm the Boss" since Sky didn't bring Uno. It was incredibly fun and chaotic. (laughs) When someone tried to open a deal, we'd jump in and demand to be part of it, threatening to cause trouble otherwise. We played until 11 PM.
It was a shame Sky couldn't understand the Thai banter during the deals. We were all laughing, and he kept asking, "Hey, what's the deal? What's going on?" (laughs) But it was still a lot of fun.
I just finished showering after getting home at 11 PM. I did review some language this morning, but I didn't learn anything new today, just reviewed. It's almost 1 AM now, so I'll probably go to sleep. See you!
