Past eleven before bed. Hitting record really isn't that hard, is it? (laughs) It's been five whole days since my last entry. It's a shame, because so much actually happened — they weren't just idle days.
Yesterday, for instance, Sky came over with his friend visiting from India and his mom. Sky took everyone around — hot springs, cafes, the works. It was such a fun day, but I never logged any of it.
Lately my focus has just been elsewhere. Since getting my Claude subscription, I've been tinkering with all kinds of personal project tools. But that's no excuse. It's really just a matter of discipline.
Then this morning started with a shock: I found out my brother had been admitted to the hospital. Yesterday he had planned a trip upcountry with his girlfriend to visit friends, but he had already started coughing a lot — a dry cough, just like Mom and Dad had recently when they caught Influenza A. I woke up assuming he was on the road, but Mom told me he was in the hospital with a fever. The test confirmed it's Influenza A. He must have caught it from Mom or Dad, which means the incubation period was surprisingly long. It honestly makes me a little anxious that I might have caught it too (laughs), since we're all in the same space.
His fever is down now, just the cough lingering. I haven't gone to visit yet, but his girlfriend is looking after him. It's probably better not to visit anyway, to keep from spreading anything.
Lunch was Mom's chicken massaman curry, and it was so damn good. I ate two whole bowls, followed by grass jelly that Mom bought and made sweet syrup for at home.
Yesterday the RoV offline championship was on too, and the team I root for lost. Heartbreaking — lost with the exact same score and fashion as last season.
Spent the afternoon working through projects with Claude, and around 4:00 PM I went to the gym. I ate so many sweets and cakes yesterday without working out that I wanted a hard burn today, so I went heavy on cardio. Incline walking and running for an hour and a half — burned a thousand calories. Not bad. Though as soon as I got home, I immediately downed another two bowls of massaman.
I ended up zoning out watching short clips of someone keeping a pet lion. (sighs) It's midnight now. I had already turned off the lights and put on a podcast to go to sleep, but then I thought — why didn't I record an entry today?
Midnight on the dot — 12:01 now. I need to get back to recording every single day, no matter how much work is on my plate. Podcast off, lights out. Goodnight.
