Unbelievable. (sighs) I went to bed around midnight, a little past. Then after a while, I heard gak gak gak at the door.
At first, I was going to be strong and not open it. I thought, "No, it'll get used to it, it'll get too confident." I should explain that when I sleep, all three of them—the dogs and some cats—sleep in my mom's room. My mom usually says that around 2 or 3 AM, they like to wake up and run around and play. Then my mom has to open the door to the main living area, and that's when they start scratching.
I held back, thinking it must be 6 AM already. I figured it would eventually give up. But for half an hour, it just kept scratching. It wouldn't stop.
And I'm really sensitive to noise. It triggers my anxiety. When I was in university, the walls in the dorm were so thin, and I'd get woken up like that so often at night that it turned into anxiety. But when I came home, it went away. It disappeared, I wasn't getting woken up. But now, with Milo, when I wake up my heart is pounding. I can't sleep well. I fall asleep, get woken up, fall asleep, get woken up. I really need to find a serious solution for this, otherwise it's not good for my health.
Anyway, back to it. I thought it was 6 AM, right? After half an hour of it not giving up, I opened my eyes to look at the clock, and damn it, it was past 3 AM, almost 4 AM. The day before, it was 6 AM every time. I thought I'd at least get some sleep. 3 AM, 4 AM, for crying out loud! I was like, "I can't take this anymore," and got up.
When I got up, I didn't let Milo in. I called him over, sat him down, and told him off, saying he couldn't come in. I went to open the fan and everything to get some air flowing in the house, to cool it down a bit. (laughs) But he still wanted to come in no matter what I did. He kept jumping on my legs. I just gave in and let him in. It was only Milo who wanted to come in; the other dogs didn't care. They were just running around and playing.
Once he came in, I managed to sleep again around 4 AM. I slept for a bit, and then around 6 AM, he woke me up again! (laughs) He wanted to go out. The dog was scratching at the trash bag, scratching at the cabinet. I wondered what that sound was. I got up to look at the door, but there was no Milo standing there. So I went back to sleep. Then gak gak gak gak again. I looked, and again, no Milo. I thought maybe the others were playing in front of the room. After a while, the scratching continued, so I got up to really look, and he was sleeping right next to me, under the bed! I hadn't even looked to the side of the bed, only at the door. (sighs)
So I went and opened the door for him. (yawns) He wanted to go out and play because my mom was awake. I don't know if he wanted to play or pee or what, but I think he wanted to play. So I tried to go back to sleep, dozing on and off until seven, eight, nine AM. I was so incredibly sleepy. This awful situation is back again. I really don't like it; it's so bad for my health. When I was in the dorm during university, it really messed with my mental health. When I get woken up like that, my heart races, and I feel anxious. I wasn't always a light sleeper or this sensitive to noise before, but after two years of that situation in the dorm, it was really bad. (sighs)
So, about the gym, I'll probably just do cardio. I definitely won't be able to do weights; I'll just get dizzy. Cardio should be light enough. I haven't run in a while now. Well, not that long, only a week, but I've been feeling dizzy lately. Definitely dizzy. (sighs)
Not a great start to the day, so I'll stick to light cardio.
