I am freezing. (laughs) I think I'm completely broken today — flu, chills, a pounding headache, and this awful itchy cough. Every time I try to talk, I have to stop.
It hit full force today. Last night felt a little off, just a minor cough, but I woke up drenched in sweat, burning up, head throbbing. It's the worst combination: every single cough sends a spike of pain through my skull.
I really want to go to the hospital, but tomorrow afternoon I have an appointment to get the land deed transferred to my name. Part of me wants to reschedule, but another part keeps wondering if I can just push through. I can barely get words out without stammering.
Tried going to bed around seven, but I usually sleep at midnight, so I just tossed and turned. Got up and watched YouTube for a while. Now it's ten, and I'm going to try sleeping again. I'm shaking from the cold. I bumped the AC from 26 up to 27, turned the fan away from the bed, and put on an extra layer.
A few minutes ago I was shivering so violently I couldn't even lie still. I checked with an AI on my phone, and of course it told me to go straight to a doctor. Health should come first anyway — if I wake up worse tomorrow, I won't be making that land transfer either way. (sighs)
Slapped a fresh cooling gel sheet onto my forehead. It barely helps, but it's something. People aren't kidding when they say good health is the greatest wealth. (sighs) If tonight gets unbearable, I'll just head to the hospital, get admitted, and reschedule with the client.
Still shivering as I say this, but I'm turning off the lights and pulling up the blanket.
