(sighs) It's past 9 PM. I should record this before I get too tired to talk. Today wasn't great. (laughs)
This morning, my mom had a high fever, so we decided it was best for her to go to the hospital and get admitted, just to be closer to the doctors. It turned out she has the flu, probably caught from my dad. He still hasn't fully recovered since coming home; he's still coughing really hard. Even if the virus isn't active, his dry cough is so bad I worry about him. So, Mom went to the hospital.
My aunt was actually going to visit today, she even took the day off, but Mom told her not to come. She didn't want everyone catching the flu. (laughs) So, she didn't come.
In the afternoon, I didn't do much. I just ran an errand with my brother to get his new car detailed and repainted. It seems okay now.
Oh, I forgot to tell you this! (laughs) When I went to visit Mom at the hospital around noon, I hadn't eaten anything all day. I was starving. They have a 7-Eleven vending machine there, and I saw this one noodle dish that looked really good.

So I pressed the button, scanned the 7-Eleven app to pay. The tray moved up to grab it, the spiral turned... and damn it, it got stuck! (laughs) It was just hanging there on the edge. (laughs) What the heck? The tray came down empty. (laughs) It was just floating there.
The machine detected that the item hadn't dropped, so it refunded my money within thirty seconds, which was good. But I still really wanted that specific noodle dish. The problem was, it was the last one. If there had been two, I could have bought another one to push it down, maybe even getting two for the price of one. My brother and I had a theory: what if we bought something from the shelf above it? Maybe that would knock it down.
So I ordered it, and damn it! (laughs) I forgot that the item doesn't slide down; the tray goes up and pushes the item from behind. (laughs) So, it just got stuck even worse. (laughs) I guess I just wasn't meant to have it. It was ridiculous. (laughs)

Instead, I ended up getting a chicken breast with dipping sauce from the spot right next to it. I took it to Mom's room to microwave and eat. I think she'll need to stay for two or three nights. The flu isn't severe, but she had a high fever.
Later that evening, I went to the gym for some cardio, just cycling. After that, I went to Tops supermarket and bought my usual: Coke Zero and fresh milk for coffee.
Before heading home, I stopped to get some dinner. My brother was going to sleep elsewhere, and Dad already had gaeng som (sour curry) at home. With Mom not around, there's not much food in the house. (laughs) The gaeng som was already made, but I wasn't in the mood for it.
So I went to my usual krapao place. Damn it, it hadn't rained yet near my house, but the sky was dark. As I drove, I could see the rain ahead, like a clear line where it was pouring. (laughs) Well, it wasn't pouring, but it was raining. I drove on, and it wasn't heavy yet. But the moment I parked in front of the shop, the rain just poured down. (laughs) It just came down. (laughs)
I ran into the shop and ordered my usual krapao. I decided to eat there, even though the rain was splashing in. They asked if I wanted to sit inside, but I told them it was fine, the atmosphere was nice. (laughs) With the rain splashing, I ordered krapao again, but I also added stir-fried mama noodles with krapao. It was awesome because I was craving it. Normally, I'd get a special krapao with a fried egg to go, and that's usually enough. But with the added mama noodles, which felt like two packs, I was absolutely stuffed. All that cardio I did earlier was completely undone. So many carbs in one meal! (laughs)
After eating, the rain started to let up, so I drove home. (sighs) I'm staying with Dad tonight. He's already asleep, shivering, still feeling cold from the fever. He's still coughing and has that internal chill. And now, I'm starting to feel it too. I'm getting warm, a bit of a headache, my forehead feels a little hot. It feels like I'm coming down with something because when I got home from being out in the rain, I didn't shower or anything. I just sat down at the computer because I was so full. (laughs) So, I took some paracetamol just in case.
I'm recording this now while listening to music. I almost had a Coke, but decided against it; my head hurts, so I'll save it for tomorrow. I just brushed my teeth and I'm ready for bed. It's almost 10 PM. I'm tired from talking. Hopefully, it's a good night and a good day tomorrow.
