Midnight on the dot. Hello November. The end of the year is rolling in all over again.
I never gave an update, but after my last entry where I talked about being sick and refusing to go to the hospital, I finally caved right around midnight that night. (laughs) I just couldn't take it anymore. I tried to sleep, woke up with a pounding headache, and checked myself in. Ended up staying for three nights. (sighs)
I just got back yesterday, and I missed my bed so much. In the hospital, the first night was bearable, but by day two my back was aching. By day three, my back was killing me, and I was just drenched in sweat with a splitting headache, completely miserable. It turned out not to be Influenza A after all, just a brutal cold, but my fever shot up past thirty-nine degrees.
So that was my send-off for last month. Leaving the bad luck behind in October. Now that it's a new month, I hope it's a good one. My brother's birthday is coming up on the fourth, too.
Today felt so good because I washed all the bedding. The duvet, the fitted sheet, the pillowcases—did it all in one go. Lying down right now, everything smells so clean and fresh. (laughs)
It feels like I can finally get back to taking my time, reflecting, and just being with myself again. It feels so comfortable right now just lying here on the bed. (yawns)
I haven't gone back to the gym since coming home. I'll give it another day or two to recover before heading back. In the hospital, I definitely gained some weight. Normally I eat two meals a day, but there it was three full meals plus snacks and desserts, just eating and lying around all day.
My lips are so chapped right now, too. Even Vaseline isn't doing the trick—it actually stings when my tongue touches them.
I stayed home all day today. Played some ROV and watched YouTube—Bay Riffer playing Call of Duty 4. It's so intense and fun. I haven't finished it yet, but I'll probably put it on tomorrow and watch the rest through to the end.
Here's to a good new month. I hope mom and dad stay healthy, my brother stays healthy, and that I'm completely done with being sick for the rest of this year.
