My head is pounding. (laughs) I need to record this before I fall asleep early. It's a throbbing migraine, and I've already taken two pills. It started yesterday, a dull ache, and I've felt generally unwell for two days. Today it's been bad since I woke up, though it really started pounding around noon and into the afternoon.
First, an update: my grandma was discharged from the hospital today. My mom picked her up and took her home. Mom initially said she'd call me to drive, but then she just went herself.
What did I do this afternoon? (laughs) I just watched a Japanese series on Netflix that I recently started. It's a bit strange, but in a good way—I haven't seen anything quite like it in Korean dramas. It feels very Japanese, but it's an older series. Still, I'm watching it. (laughs)
This evening, we went to visit my dad at the hospital. He asked us to pick up some 7-11 snacks, the kind you microwave for breakfast. But we ended up going into town, and we saw our regular Tokyo dessert shop, the one my brother and I used to go to. It's not really "regular" since we've only been a few times, but it's a good spot. So, we bought a lot of Tokyo desserts instead. The owner even knows my brother! we got two extra-large pieces as a bonus. We talked with the owner for a while.
(My headache is getting worse while talking now. My forehead feels so warm)

After that, I bought some things at DIY and then went to the hospital to see Dad. He's much better, but still has a fever. It seems the flu virus is gone, but the fever is lingering. The doctor wants to observe him for another day or two, just to be sure. (laughs) He's only been eating rice porridge. The doctor ordered soft food, so it's just rice porridge, steamed egg, and fruit. (laughs)
He's been in the hospital for two nights, almost three days now. The bill is nearly 30,000 baht, according to the statement, but it should all be covered by insurance. That's the good thing about having insurance. (laughs) When you don't need it, you don't use it, but when you do, it's really helpful. (sighs) We talked for a bit, and then I headed home.
Mom didn't cook tonight; everyone is still busy. My brother was in court this morning for a case we'd already won. This was just to hear the verdict, confirming our side won. The other party didn't show up at all, so the court has to send them a formal letter to inform them. They'll then have 30 days to pay the damages and our legal fees. (laughs) This case took almost a year. (laughs)
Back home, I ate the leng (spicy pork ribs soup) from that delicious shop my brother likes. I ate a lot today. I haven't been to the gym for cardio in three days because my muscles are still so sore from DOMS. This is day three of DOMS; it's intense. (laughs) I think it'll be gone tomorrow if I get a good night's sleep.
After eating, I watched more of the series, but then my headache started getting worse, really bad. So I decided to shower, took two more pills, and rushed to record this. (laughs) I haven't even done my Anki flashcards yet. There are over a hundred words. I don't think I'll get to them; I'll definitely get a worse headache if I try.
I have an early start tomorrow, around 8 or 9 am, for a land transfer with a client. I'll go with my brother. I wanted to record this first. Also, today's recording marks a 90-day streak, which is awesome! (laughs) So, on we go. (laughs) This is almost ten minutes, so I'll keep this entry from getting too long. See you tomorrow.
Oh, I almost forgot! I just glanced over and saw my iPhone charging cable. I have a charger next to my desk, and the cable is long, so it hangs down. Well, the dogs got to it. It's completely chewed up. I ordered a new one yesterday, but I just remembered to mention it now. I've had that cable, the one that came with the phone, for so long. And the dogs just ganged up on it. (sighs) It's totally ruined. (laughs) Okay, I'm really going now. See you!
