After we left our house, there were four of us, and we were trying to figure out where to go next. My brother decided to check his house to see if the builders had been there.
We drove out to buy some supplies from a hardware store. We bought a few things, drove back, and then realized we'd bought the wrong ones. (laughs)
On the way back out to exchange them, we saw someone walking by the side of the road who seemed to be hitchhiking. We stopped and asked where he was going. We thought he might be heading into town, which we could do, but he said he was going to Phuket. That's two provinces away from Krabi, if I remember right! (laughs) We told him we could take him to the edge of the road, and my brother gave him 200 baht for the bus or some food.
On the drive back, it suddenly hit us: why didn't we just take him to the bus station? We could have given him money for a van all the way to Phuket. (laughs) We only thought of it after we'd dropped him off.
We went back to the house to drop off the supplies. Then we were trying to decide what to do next. We headed to Central, but it was Mother's Day, so the mall was packed. We drove around once and left, then started looking for somewhere else to go. (laughs)
The original plan was to pick up Pon. We drove to get him, but P'Poom was exhausted. He hadn't slept in about a day and a half, so we dropped him off after picking up Pon. So, we were back to four people, with P'Pon replacing P'Poom. Where to next? (laughs)
Sky started getting hungry while we were still in the car. We drove around to so many cafes, but they were all closed. We finally thought of a restaurant near my house, not too far on the way home. We pulled up, turned off the engine, and the owner came out and said, "We're closed." (laughs) We just sat there laughing.
We still had to drop Sky off, so we decided to find a coffee shop on the way. We stopped at Punthai and got some coffee and sandwiches. Then we realized Sky wasn't going home yet, and there was a Punthai closer to my house anyway. (laughs) What was the point of driving all the way out there?
We went back home and hung out for a bit, waiting for my dad to get back. We had plans for a Mother's Day dinner with my grandma and mom. Around 6 PM, we all headed out — my aunt, uncle, grandma, parents, my brother, Sky, Pon, and me. We went to a seaside restaurant, and it was pretty crowded.
This restaurant doesn't really focus on seafood; it's more traditional home-style dishes, but it was good. The view was beautiful since it was right by the sea. When we first arrived, the tide was really low, and the water was far out. But after we walked on the beach and took some photos for a bit, the water came back in. It was Golden Hour, and the sunset was a beautiful orange. I uploaded the photos to my calendar diary yesterday.
After dinner, we all went our separate ways. I dropped off Sky, then P'Pon, and then went home to practice some Japanese.
