(sighs) It's 1:20 AM. (laughs) I have to be up at 8 AM on Sunday, and I'm still awake. My hair is still wet, so I can't sleep, and I have so much pent-up stuff to talk about. (laughs)
I'll save the details of today's activities for another entry. The main thing is, what do I do when someone asks for my Instagram? (laughs) I just felt this dilemma again recently, today actually. (sighs) I met someone online, and we exchanged contacts to chat normally, but then the Instagram question came up.
I just deleted my account, you know? It's not permanently deleted yet, it's waiting for 30 business days, but I've uninstalled the app. Right now, I only have Facebook on my phone. I almost deleted Facebook too, but I need it for work, so I still have Facebook, Messenger, and Line. These are the only social media apps on my phone. (laughs) So when someone asks for Instagram, what do I say? I told them I don't have it, or rather, I don't use it anymore. (laughs) Does that even sound believable? I'm thinking this to myself.
I only have Facebook on my phone, and my main account only has about thirty friends. (laughs) Folk, when you read this, remember how you felt right now. (laughs) It's like, how do I explain? People will be like, "No IG? Is that even possible these days?" What do I say? "Oh, I don't use it, I'm on a social detox right now?" (laughs) The truth is, I really did just delete it for that exact reason. (laughs) And TikTok isn't even on my phone.
Oh my goodness. Ultimately, Instagram is still necessary, right? I don't mean I want to go back to using it, but it's like a business card or the primary way to exchange contacts now. It's awkward, should I ask for Facebook instead? (laughs) If I could, I'd rather exchange iMessage or iOS Messages. The features and UI/UX are great for just chatting. But with iMessage, instead of an IG username, you'd have to exchange a phone number or iCloud email, which feels even stranger. Oh my god. (laughs)
I don't know how to explain this dilemma, this... yeah, that's what it is. I just needed to vent about this. My mood is a bit calmer now that I've vented, but there's still a little bit of this dilemma, though I've said all I need to say about it. (laughs)
