I laughed. I have to admit, I used a trick to get my streak back. Maybe I should just remove the streak system altogether! (laughs) I got so caught up playing ROV that I forgot to record, so I just went into the database and changed the created_at timestamp. (sighs, laughs) I'm just being honest.
After finishing ROV with my friends – there were four of us, not five (sighs) – I started thinking about my day. This morning, I went to Central with Aunt Puang to look at watches. We also wanted to check out the new Uniqlo branch that just opened there. It's been open for a week, but it was too crowded before, so we waited until today. (laughs) There was a dinosaur booth, like an archaeology exhibit, with inflatable T-Rexes that had cute, fat hands, and a long-necked dinosaur. They were really cute.
We looked at Huawei watches first; they were nice, but Aunt Puang had her eye on a Xiaomi. We found one she liked, but didn't buy it right away. We decided to walk through Uniqlo first. Wow, there were so many beautiful clothes! (laughs) I thought about buying some, but then I realized I have nowhere to wear them. It's not like when I was in university, where I wore my own clothes every day and could change up my style. Now, I'm home 80 or 90 percent of the time, only going to the gym. If I have work or an event, I have clothes for that, but they're often not very formal, or for fieldwork, I'd wear layers or a sweater. (laughs) I just don't go out enough to need new clothes. I am eyeing a UV protection jacket, though, which would be good for working out.
So we went back to Xiaomi and bought the watch. It's a Redmi Watch 6, and it looks good. While Aunt Puang was registering it, I played with all the different devices at the Xiaomi store. (laughs) Xiaomi makes absolutely everything: toothbrushes, nose hair trimmers, electric scooters, vacuum cleaners, you name it. It was fun to just play around. (sighs) Oh, I forgot to mention, there were four of us: me, my older brother, my mom, and Aunt Puang.
After Xiaomi, we looked for something to eat. We thought about shabu-shabu, but it was still pretty early, around 10 or 11 AM. So we grabbed some Thai iced tea, one for everyone, and then stopped at a shop to buy some Korean instant noodles that were served in a rice noodle roll. It wasn't very good, (laughs) actually, it really wasn't. We decided to go home and eat because we still had grilled fish, steamed crab, and shrimp. We also picked up half an MK roasted duck to take home.
Around 2 PM, we took Aunt Puang to the pier so she could head back to the island. Her boat left at 3 PM, and it was actually raining on that side of the shore. We got back home around 3 or 4 PM. I went to the gym around 4 PM, thinking I'd beat the rush. They'd blocked off part of the outdoor parking lot, so everyone had to park inside, in the covered area, which is always harder to find a spot. I figured people wouldn't be off work yet, but the lot was completely full. It was so hard to find parking.
Today I did a full lower body workout – well, not full, I skipped calves. Then I did cardio on the stair machine. Twenty-five minutes, and it was absolutely exhausting. (laughs) I was so tired, I almost passed out.
After the gym, I stopped for pad krapow at my usual spot. My mom made crab and shrimp fried rice, which looked amazing, (laughs) but I didn't want to eat too many carbs, and I was already full from the krapow.
I showered, then played games. Pon and another friend are off tomorrow, so we could play late. Non finally joined us around 11 PM after convincing his girlfriend. We'd been playing with Pon since 10 PM. Pon has to wake up early for a big cleaning at the mall, but playing until midnight was good enough. I should go to bed now, it's getting late.
